Why Booker T is Back on Raw, GRR Stage Update, Amann Lawsuit News

Booker T announced earlier this week that he will be returning to Monday Night Raw this week to do commentary. Jonathan Coachman later confirmed that the WWE Hall of Famer will be taking his place alongside Corey Graves and Michael Cole this Monday night. Originally, there was no reported reason as to why Jonathan Coachman would be missing Raw, but Coachman has since explained on Twitter that he will not be able to attend Raw this week due to a prior commitment. WWE has allowed him to fulfill an assignment that he has with the Golf Channel. Jonathan Coachman has also assured fans that he will be back behind the Raw announce table again the following Monday.

Thank you kind sir. Tell your friends to check me out on Tuesday at @WorldLongDrive on @GolfChannel at 7p east. I don’t miss Raw unless there is a good reason. #crosspromotion #evolve https://t.co/tEuQPHJ0zC

The Greatest Royal Rumble is coming up and it looks like WWE is all in with this event. Not only does the show feature the first-ever 50-man Royal Rumble match, but it will also have a match between The Undertaker and Rusev, a match between Triple H and John Cena, and several other title matches in between the event. WWE’s upcoming show was also revealed to have a unique set a few days ago, but some new photos released from Twitter’s WWE Stage Creator feature an updated look at the set being built right now in the King Abdullah Sports City stadium. The stacked Greatest Royal Rumble event will be taking place in Saudi Arabia on April 27th.

After current UFC fighter CM Punk controversially parted ways with WWE back in 2014, he made an appearance on Colt Cabana’s Art of Wrestling and made several allegations against the company. Most notably, he made some remarks about WWE doctor Chris Amann, which later caused Amann to file a lawsuit against both Punk and Cabana. It looks like it is just about time for the lawsuit to finally move forward in court. According to a report from Ringside News, the case is now set to go to trial on May 21st. UFC also recently revealed that CM Punk will be fighting against Mike Jackson at UFC 225 on June 9th, and Punk is also featured on the poster for the upcoming pay-per-view.
