#10 – WWF Insurrextion from London, England
At the turn of the century WWE ran four annual Insurrextion events all taking place in England, and the very first of its kind was arguably the most consistent entry. Nothing on the show was remotely excellent, and the bottom half suffered from an overwhelming amount of gimmicks that plagued many Attitude Era pay-per-views. But the top half featured so many solid back-to-back matches I didn’t feel comfortable leaving it off our list.
The main event was a triple threat match for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship featuring The Rock defending against both Triple H and Shane McMahon, in the wake of the infamously chaotic McMahon Family four-way at WrestleMania 2000. The WWF Tag Team titles were also on the line as The Hardy Boyz defended against Edge and Christian, and it’s really hard to go wrong with middle of the card performances from Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit. All that and a super hot London crowd make Insurrextion 2000 a totally watchable event.
