CONCORD, MA — One of Concord’s most historic homes hit the market this week. The Thoreau-Walcott House on Main Street was listed for $2.6 million. Henry David Thoreau wrote much of “Walden” at the house while Louisa May Alcott wrote “Jo’s Boys” there. The home has been “beautifully transported” into the 21st century while retaining the original architecture.
The nearly 6,000-square-foot home has six bedrooms and five bathrooms. The property includes a pool and barn.
An open will be held this weekend from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
