As we noted last week, Rey Mysterio suffered what appeared to be a torn biceps at a Northeast Wrestling event during a tag team match with Flip Gordon.
Mysterio was set to have the injury evaluated this week to determine the injury’s severity, and according to PWInsider.com, it appears as if Mysterio did not suffer a complete tear of the biceps as he is able to move his arm in ways he would not be able to if he indeed suffered the full tear.
Mysterio has also been in continued talks with WWE regarding a return, possibly in time for a match at WrestleMania 34, and the PWInsider reports his recent injury has not halted the talks between him and WWE, and both sides are proceeding with negotiations.
As we noted last week, Mysterio and Triple H were set to meet before the Northeast Wrestling event to try and finalize terms of Mysterio’s new deal, however, Triple H was called away at the last minute to finalize the new Saudi Arabia TV deal with Vince McMahon.

Mysterio made his surprise return to WWE in this year’s Royal Rumble match, and the response Mysterio received from the live crowd lead to increased interest from both Mysterio and WWE in bringing the high flyer back to the company.
