The New Day will hold a celebration on the New Year’s Day edition of SmackDown Live. The trio of WWE Superstars are the company’s go-to comedy act and they always deliver when WWE needs them.
But as entertaining as they are on the mic, The New Day is just as good in the ring. They continue to impress in their wars with The Usos, as well as The Bar. The three teams have run the show in WWE’s tag team division and the blue brand has benefitted as a result.
However, many fans are wondering when The New Day will go their separate ways. It’s perhaps only a matter of time until the split happens and when it does, all three men could be headed to WWE’s main event scene. The same was true of The Shield, who originally disbanded in 2014.
But Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins’s success has not been the norm for stables in the company. It can be extremely difficult to get one guy over as a top star, so the odds are obviously not good for getting three guys over.
Maybe The New Day will prove that lighting can indeed strike twice. It’s unknown when Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will pursue solo careers again. But when the time comes, it will indeed be interesting to see how WWE chooses to move forward.
It wouldn’t be New Year’s Day with out a celebration! Find out what The #NewDay have in store for you on the New Year's Day edition of #SDLive, next Tuesday at 8/7 C on USA Network! https://t.co/zBRhG2JGTl
