While many fans were understandably upset last weekend when Nick Aldis defeated the “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes at the National Wrestling Alliance’s 70th Anniversary pay-per-view, the decision stands and the British superstar is your two-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, like it or not.
The question is, what’s next for the Ten Pounds of Gold?

In a new video, which you can check out below, Aldis revealed that he has not one but THREE brand new challengers already lined up to take a shot at the championship.
His first challenger will be someone who has already had a chance at the title, a 12-year veteran from Virginia by the name of Brandon Scott. The two faced off earlier this April for Maryland Championship Wrestling, and Aldis has stated that he wants a rematch with the 30-year-old star because he was impressed with their first outing, and wants a chance to bring Scott up to the “championship level”.
It’s unclear exactly when Aldis vs. Scott II will go down, but it will take place for MCW which has three events listed for November and one in early December, so we should have an answer quite soon.
The second challenger is none other than the “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn, a true tag team legend and future WWE Hall of Famer. That bout will actually go down in Puerto Rico for the CWA promotion, on December 16th.
Finally, if he can manage to get through his next two opponents, Nick Aldis will step into the ring with yet another former WWE Superstar, and a former world champion in his own right. The NWA Worlds Champion will defend against Jake Hagger (aka Jack Swagger) in Winston Salem during Thanksgiving weekend.
