News on Brock Lesnar's WWE Status, More on John Cena Returning Next Week

— Brock Lesnar’s new agreement with WWE has him working all the go-home Raw shows before the PPVs that he’s booked for. As such, he is next scheduled for the 1/21 Raw in Oklahoma City prior to the January Royal Rumble. In an interesting note, Mike Johnson at PWInsider.com wondered what Lesnar’s future with WWE will be beyond the Rumble, as he is not featured in any advertising for WrestleMania. This has led to speculation that perhaps Brock will finally be finishing up with WWE after January, though as we have seen over the last year, Vince McMahon will not hesitate to re-up him to another short-term deal.

— John Cena is scheduled for both Raw and Smackdown next week, according to the Observer Newsletter even though Cena initially stated that he would only be back for house shows. It is believed this mixup was either due to miscommunication with WWE or the company changing plans, perhaps wanting to use him at TV as a way to help ratings.

— Both shows are being taped this weekend (Raw in Detroit on Friday evening and Smackdown in Pittsburgh on Saturday) so if anyone is attending and would like to contribute results, please send them to Rajah and his email address is webmaster@rajah.com or you can send them directly to me at jeffreywhalen99@yahoo.com
