– In the video above from tonight’s “Off The Top Rope” segment on ESPN SportsCenter, Jonathan Coachman lists the top moments from this week’s WWE RAW in Anaheim, where he was in attendance, and plugs Fastlane. Coach’s top moments for this week – the Top Match was Kevin Owens winning the Intercontinental Title in the Fatal 5 Way, Top Moves went to Naomi’s kicks to Becky Lynch, Top Performance went to AJ Styles in his match against The Miz, Top Moment went to Kane coming from under the ring to help Big Show and Ryback with The Wyatt Family.
In the video below, Brock Lesnar joins the show and talks with Coach. Coach asks what has been the most difficult thing for Lesnar to accomplish in his life. Lesnar says winning the NCAA championship because that took a long time to train for, noting that he basically wrestled from 5 to 22. He says none of his accolades have been easy. Coach asks what his favorite WrestleMania moment is and he laughs about one bad moment – the failed Shooting Star Press to Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 19. Lesnar says he doesn’t really have a favorite moment because he’s looking to the future. He says he’s looking forward to beating Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose at WWE Fastlane on Sunday, then going on to main event WrestleMania 32. He talks more about the Shooting Star Press and says it wasn’t a good idea. Coach brings up Paul Heyman and Lesnar says without Heyman, his career wouldn’t be where it is today. He says they’re like bread & butter, they’ve been successful for years and they just work. He says they work very well together and Heyman has been there supporting him since day one.
In regards to Daniel Bryan’s retirement, Lesnar says he made a wise choice. Lesnar says he himself can’t count the number of concussions he’s probably had and didn’t even know, just because of how the business is. He comments on Bryan stepping away and putting health before pride, and understanding there’s more to life than wrestling, fighting or football. Lesnar says he tips his hat to Bryan and says he made the right decision. Coach brings up Ronda Rousey revealing she was suicidal after her first loss and asks for advice as she gets back into the swing of things. Lesnar says he’s a big fan but you have to learn that you must lose before you can win, you have to be able to get back on the horse. He says one fight isn’t going to make or break her career. Lesnar also comments on crossing over to pro wrestling and says Rousey can do whatever she wants. He believes she has a lot on her plate, saying you can’t be a fighter and be in 10 movies per year. Lesnar says Rousey needs to step back and figure out what she wants to do moving forward.
