Dragon Gate Stars Pulled From WrestleCon, FWMF DVD Release Date

WrestleMania 35 is now almost exactly one weeks away from taking place. WWE is currently in the process of setting up the MetLife Stadium for their huge event, and several other wrestling promotions will be hosting events in the New York/New Jersey area during the weekend of the show. One event that fans look forward to around this time of year is WrestleCon, which allows fans the chance to meet the stars of various promotions from the past and the present. Although there will be several prominent wrestlers from all over the world represented at WrestleCon, it has just been announced that the roster from one promotion won’t be coming to the event this year due to issues with the United States Government.

Unfortunately, it appears that the members of the Dragon Gate promotion will no longer be appearing at WrestleCon due to visa issues. WrestleCon officials put out a statement yesterday informing fans that the stars of Dragon Gate have been denied entry into the US, mostly because they have not performed in the country in a number of years. This also includes British wrestler PAC, who is also unable to attend the event next week due to his own visa issues. WrestleCon officials also revised their US vs. The World matches now that Dragon Gate talent won’t be able to compete at all. They have also apologized to their fan and they say that they will begin issuing refunds to any visitors who had tickets and request one.

The movie based on the rise of WWE Superstar Paige, “Fighting With My Family,” was a critical hit and was also praised by fans. For those who may have missed the opportunity to catch the flick in theaters, there is no need to worry. PWInsider reports that the WWE Studios film now has a DVD, Blu-Ray, and digital release date set for May 14th. The DVD includes deleted scenes, extended scenes, a blooper reel, a special on the making of the film, commentary from director Stephen Merchant, and much more. The movie chronicles Paige’s rise in the UK wrestling scene while working for her family’s promotion before signing with WWE and learning to come out of her shell as a superstar. Be on the lookout for the movie very soon.
