Dolph Ziggler Being Repackaged? Jordan Heel Turn, Dawson Update

WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler has not been on television at all in recent weeks. As noted earlier this week, the creative team does not have any solid plans for him at the moment. Bryan Alvarez from the Wrestling Observer recently reported that WWE may be planning something completely new for the former world champion. Alvarez reported that the company is currently looking to repackage Dolph Ziggler completely. Few details were given, but it will definitely be interesting to see where the company goes with this if they are giving Dolph a new start. Ziggler, as we once knew him, last appeared on the 4th of July edition of Smackdown.
From the get go, some fans have shown skepticism towards the storyline involving Jason Jordan being revealed as Kurt Angle’s illegitimate son. When the angle was revealed, the idea was to have Jordan get over as a top babyface on Raw. However, WWE does have a backup plan if that does not work out. The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter states that the plan is to have Jordan turn heel on Angle if the babyface run does fail. The idea could be that Jordan actually made up the entire storyline in order to get more opportunities in the company. For now, WWE is staying the course with Jordan as a babyface on the Raw brand.
Scott Dawson recently was reported as suffering from a bicep tear. WWE later confirmed the injury and now The Revival are both expected to be out for a while. Their planned SummerSlam match against The Hardy Boyz was cancelled as well. Dawson’s injury is indeed more severe than expected, it’s being reported by Cageside Seats that he is not expected to be healed until December of this year. The Revival’s Dash Wilder recently returned from a fractured jaw, but now the team will be out of action once again. It is possible that Dawson could heal up quicker than expected, but it now seems like the team may return to the main roster until 2018 at the earliest.
