Dean Ambrose Heel Turn Update, Carmella on Her New Look, Janela

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, a heel turn was heavily teased for Dean Ambrose. Some believed that Dean Ambrose would turn on his Shield brothers, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, during the six-man tag team main event on Raw against The Authors of Pain and Baron Corbin, but Ambrose is still loyal to his friends for now. Although The Shield remains intact at the moment, the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer did recently note that WWE officials were actually planning on having Ambrose turn heel on Reigns and Rollins prior to his injury last year. The Shield has returned to dominate the Raw roster, but fans probably should not get used to seeing the three wrestlers reunited for very long.
It was reported earlier this week that former SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella changed her look quite a bit. That was apparent on SmackDown last night when Carmella sported darker hair than fans are used to seeing her have. Prior to yesterday’s show, Carmella spoke with Kayla Braxton and was asked about why she decided to change the color of her hair. “The Princess of Staten Island” simply noted that she though that it was time for her to make a change and go back to her normal hair color. She also revealed plans to keep the color for the foreseeable future and will not be going back to the blonde color any time soon. Carmella said the following on her sudden appearance change: “I mean, this is my natural hair color. I wanted to go back to my roots, no pun intended. I just wanted to change, so…I mean, it’s no surprise.”

Joey Janela has been cited as one of the most engaging and extreme wrestlers on the independent circuit today. Janela has been dazzling fans in several different promotions over the past number of years, but an awkward landing from a dive during a Game Changer Wrestling event a few weeks ago left the young wrestler with a knee injury. Janela informed his fans that he would be undergoing an MRI this week, and the results have just come back. The latest update on Joey Janela’s injury shows that he received a torn MCL and PCL. Unfortunately, these injuries could keep Janela on the shelf for a number of months and will likely require surgery. No word on how long Janela is expected to be gone for as of right now.
