Chelsea Green On Why She Was Confident Heading Into WWE Tryout, Her New Movie Role, Why Wrestling Is Not Acting

Former Impact Wrestling star Chelsea Green recently spoke with The Orlando Sentinel and below are some interview highlights:

On her recent WWE tryout:

“That’s why I went in there so confident,” Green told the Sentinel on Monday. “I’m going to give it my all, but I’m also going to know my worth, know that I have options, and that’s the best feeling in the world.”

On the new movie “Red Eye” she spent the summer filming:

“I have a couple of speaking scenes, then a fight scene stunt role,” Green said. “On camera, it will look like I’m fighting myself – I fought a stunt double who looked like me. It was wild.”

On why she does not consider wrestling acting:

“In wrestling, I don’t consider it acting because it’s improv,” Green said. “A lot of people gave me props for my acting ability when I didn’t really think I deserved it. … But I auditioned for this role, and it was awesome to be chosen through that process. A lot of times in wrestling, you get booked because of your name or where you’ve been, and this wasn’t like that.”

Also during the interview, Green addresses recent Visa issues which forced her to pull out of several upcoming independent appearances. Green pulling out of the appearances lead some to speculate that she was heading to WWE, but as it turns out, Visa issues are what prevented her from appearing.
