Big Update On NXT Title Situation and Main Event at Takeover Brooklyn, Matches Announced for Next Week’s NXT

As we noted earlier tonight, via PWInsider.com, Aleister Black has been ruled out of the main event at NXT Takeover Brooklyn following surgery last week after Black suffered a groin injury at an NXT live event last week.

Despite the report, NXT did announce tonight that the main event of NXT Takeover Brooklyn will feature Aleister Black vs Johnny Gargano vs Tommaso Ciampa in a Triple Threat match, so as of now it appears as if the main event is still scheduled.

It’s always possible WWE could change the match prior to Takeover, as tonight’s NXT segment was taped back on July 18th, and Takeover takes place on August 18th.

In other NXT news, the following bouts have been announced for next week’s show, the final episode before Takeover Brooklyn:

-The Street Profits vs The Mighty
-Kairi Sane vs Aliyah
-Roderick Strong vs Tyler Bate
