Asuka Crashes WWE Fastlane & Officially Announces Her Opponent For WrestleMania 34

After winning the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match this past January, the world has been waiting to find out who Asuka will challenge at WrestleMania 34. The undisputed “Empress” of Monday Night RAW crashed this weekend’s WWE Fastlane pay-per-view to make the unexpected announcement, and despite much speculation to the contrary, Asuka will face Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship on the grandest stage of them all.

With Asuka being a fixture of Monday Night RAW it’s been teased for weeks now that she would challenge Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania. It was even outright announced by the commentary team that the match was made official, which they had to go back and correct later on. This likely means that Bliss will be free to defend the RAW title against Nia Jax, which has been talked about as a possibility for months.
